Keman Boyutları ve Seçimi
Keman, yaylı çalgılar ailesine ait, dört teli olan ve bir yay (arşe) yardımıyla çalınan bir enstrümandır. Keman öğrenmek isteyen herkesin ilk yaptığı şey bir keman satın almak oluyor. Ama acaba doğru kemanı satın alıyor muyuz? Doğru keman, boyut ve materyal olarak size en uygun kemandır. Peki keman hangi materyallerden oluşabilir, kemanın boyutları nelerdir ve kendimize uygun boyutu nasıl bilebiliriz?
Keman yapımında genellikle akçaağaç, ladin, gül ağacı gibi malzemeler kullanılır. Kemanın gövdesi, sapı, burguları ve eşiği akçaağaçtan; üst kapak ladin veya sedirden; parmaklık gül ağacından yapılır. Kemanın telleri ise çelik veya sentetik malzemelerden oluşur. Kemanın ses kalitesini etkileyen en önemli faktörlerden biri de yapımında kullanılan malzemenin kalitesidir. Kaliteli malzeme kullanılan kemanlar daha iyi ses verir ve daha uzun ömürlü olur.
Kemanın boyutları ise her yaş için standart değildir. Her bireyin gelişim hızı, boy, el, kol ve parmak uzunlukları gibi fiziki özellikleri farklıdır. Dolayısı ile en iyi metod, kemanı çalacak kişinin her boyuttaki kemanı denemesi ve kendine en uygun boyutu keşfetmesidir. Doğru keman boyutuyla çalışmak, tekniğinizin de doğru oturmasını sağlayacaktır.
Keman boyutları, yaş grubu ve kol uzunluğu gibi etkenlere bağlı olarak farklılık gösterir. Genellemek gerekirse, ortalama olarak keman boyutlarını şu şekilde ayırabiliriz:
• 1/8 Ölçü – (4-6 Yaş Grubu) – 42 cm
• 1/4 Ölçü – Çeyrek Keman – (6-8 Yaş Grubu) – 47 cm
• 1/2 Ölçü – Yarım Keman – (8-10 Yaş Grubu) – 51 cm
• 3/4 Ölçü – Üç Çeyrek Keman – (10-13 Yaş Grubu) – 56 cm
• 4/4 Ölçü – Tam Keman – (13 ve Üzeri Yaş Grubu) – 58.5 cm
Size uygun keman boyutunu bulmak için, kemanı sol köprücük kemiğinize paralel bir şekilde yerleştirip, çenelik kısmına çenenizi sağlam bir şekilde dayamalısınız. Sol eliniz keman sapı üzerinde bulunan tuşeye tam anlamı ile hakimiyet sağlamalıdır. Yani sol eliniz ve parmaklarınızın boyutu eğer keman sapının sonuna kadar yetişmiyorsa, denediğiniz keman size büyük gelmektedir. En iyi yöntem, bir müzik markete gidip farklı boyutlardaki kemanları denemek ve kendinize en uygun olanı seçmektir.
Ülkemizde çocuk yaşta keman kursuna başlayanlar genellikle 3/4 keman almakta ve ergenlik çağı ile birlikte 4/4 ölçüde yani tam kemana geçiş yapmaktadır.
